Rotarian Winter Journey in Georgia

Tbilisi · Gudauri · Greater Caucasus

Spend eight winter days in Georgia with fellow Rotarians. Discover Tbilisi and Georgian culture, meet local Rotarians, then enjoy four days at the famous Gudauri ski resort. The program suits both beginners and experienced skiers, with optional winter activities and excursions available.

Program 1 Day 1

Day 1 — Arrival in Tbilisi

Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, transfer to the hotel and check-in. The rest of the day is free. Guests arriving earlier may join an informal gathering at a traditional Georgian wine bar.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2 — Discover Tbilisi & Meet Local Rotarians

Welcome coffee followed by a guided tour of Tbilisi: the Old Town, Narikala Fortress, the sulphur bath district and Rustaveli Avenue. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Georgian dinner together with local Rotarians.

Day 3 — Tbilisi → Gudauri

Travel to Gudauri along the spectacular Georgian Military Highway. Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day on the slopes or relaxing.

Days 4–7 — Gudauri: Skiing & Winter Experiences

Four days for skiing and enjoying the Greater Caucasus. Optional experiences include ski lessons, freeriding, ski touring, snowshoeing, snowmobile tours, paragliding and excursions to Stepantsminda, Gergeti Trinity Church and the Kazbegi area.

Day 8 — Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Tbilisi International Airport according to your flight schedule. Guests may also extend their stay in Gudauri or continue travelling independently through Georgia.

Program 2 Day 1

Day 1 — Arrival in Tbilisi

Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, welcome and transfer to the hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a first walk through the historic centre and a welcome dinner.

Meal: dinner · Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2 — Discover Tbilisi

Explore the Old Town, Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress by cable car, the sulphur bath district, the Clock Tower and Rustaveli Avenue. Afterwards, enjoy free time to discover the city at your own pace.

Day 3 — Mtskheta & the Greater Caucasus

Visit Mtskheta, Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, then continue along the Georgian Military Highway past Zhinvali Reservoir and Ananuri Fortress to Stepantsminda and the Kazbegi region.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner · Overnight in Stepantsminda.

Day 4 — Gergeti, the Caucasus & Kakheti

Take a 4×4 journey to Gergeti Trinity Church beneath Mount Kazbek. Continue via the Gudauri Friendship Monument and Pasanauri, then cross the scenic Gombori Pass into Kakheti, Georgia’s celebrated wine region.

Day 5 — Kakheti: Wine, Traditions & Hospitality

Visit the historic Tsinandali Estate and taste selected Georgian wines. Continue to Sighnaghi and the Alazani Valley, then explore Telavi market. In the evening, learn to prepare traditional khinkali and enjoy a home-hosted dinner with a Georgian family.

Day 6 — Gori, Uplistsikhe & Georgian Polyphonic Singing

Visit Gori and the Stalin Museum, then explore the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe. Return to Tbilisi for a farewell dinner accompanied by traditional Georgian polyphonic singing and an opportunity for fellowship with local Rotarians.

Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport according to your flight schedule.
